The Refined Feline

The Refined Feline cat furniture company, based in Texas, is a manufacturer of lines of modern and stylish cat furniture including cat trees and towers, hidden cat litter box furniture, cat wall shelves, cat beds, and scratching posts.

Founded in 2004, the inspiration for the company was a feline named Kerpal. Living in a small condo in Englewood, NJ, just a few miles away from NYC, the founder of the company was frustrated with the current cat furniture on the market. The current cat tree designs were unnecessarily awkward and ugly. They never looked appealing inside of the home. The problem presented itself: how can Kerpal’s need to climb and scratch co-exist with the desire for an aesthetically pleasing home. The solution was to design stylish cat furniture with both the cat and the cat owner’s needs in mind. Assuming others were facing a similar dilemma, The Refined Feline was born. The goal was to create a line of cat furniture products that are affordable, easy to maintain, and fun for cats, in addition to being customizable to easily blend into any home’s decor.

The Lotus Cat Tower was The Refined Feline's first product launched in the year 2005. A tall bent wood cat tree with a curved design and exposed wood. Next was the Refined Litter Box to hide odorous litter pans. As cat owners shared stories, new problems presented themselves. How can we convince our cats to stop climbing all over our keyboards? How can we provide a place for cats to perch without taking up our valuable floor space? We went to work and solved these problems with The Kitt-In Box and the Cat Clouds Cat Shelves, respectively.

Over the years more and more beautiful cat furniture products for both cats and cat lovers to enjoy were introduced. By meeting face to face with cat owners and surveying 1,000’s of more cat owners over the internet, The Refined Feline innovated to develop cat furniture products to satisfy the cat's needs as well as make living with them a bit easier for everyone. Kerpal is no longer with us but the time with him inspires all of The Refined Feline’s range of stylish cat furniture products.

This range of products includes modern cat trees, such as the Lotus Cat Tower and Metropolitan Cat Condo. These cat condos have multiple levels and are perfect cat towers for large cats. The Lotus Cat Tower features a scratching area, multiple platforms, and even a hidden den with a cat bed. The Metropolitan Cat Condo can be customized and is available in multiple frame and platform colors. Platforms can even be swapped out for ones with a scratchpad or built-in food bowl.

Hidden litter box furniture, the Refined Litter Box Deluxe, is made to fit in with the decor of any home. This litter box enclosure is customizable from the door panels down to the feet. It is available in multiple colors and sizes as well so that it can fit any size litter box. Cat lovers no longer have to put up with a smelly cat litter box that also ruins the aesthetic of a beautiful home. Just place the cat litter box inside of this hidden cat litter box. Add filters to the ventilated slots in the back to absorb any smells and keep them from emanating throughout the home.

The Refined Feline also creates tall cat scratching posts like the Calypso Everlasting Cat Scratcher and the A-Frame Cat Bed. The Calypso Cat Scratcher is made of claw-proof faux rattan that will always look good in a home. Unlike other scratching posts that will fray and leave bits and pieces all over the floor, this scratching post will never fall apart. The A-Frame Cat Bed is an end table that has a cozy cat bed inside and also serves as a cat scratching post because of its large sisal scratchpad.
